Webinar: The Not-So-Humble Curb: Leveraging Your Most Valuable Asset
By Chrissy Mancini Nichols
I recently presented “The Not-So-Humble Curb: Leveraging Your Most Valuable Asset to Achieve Your Community’s Goals” at the International Parking and Mobility Institute (IPMI’s) Mobility & Innovation Summit on February 25, 2021.
I joined several municipal leaders from around the country to talk about initial findings from the curb management research study I’m leading. I’m working with cities to vet and test vendors and technology to collect curb use data, monitor, and monetize the curb as well as evaluate policy issues with curb management and new mobility.
I’m joined by the City of Sarasota, FL to discuss the research study, the City of Benicia, CA, where I’ve been working to implement a parklet program, including designing parklet/streatery guidelines and regulations and overcoming challenges with street design issues. Also joining the webinar is the City of Columbia/Univ. or Missouri where I worked to create a dockless electric scooter program. You can watch the webcast below or on YouTube.
